Organic gardening Nutrient the Mittleider method way

Hi again Jim forgot this question.

My Aunt has a number of containers she plants in (10). I was talking to her about the nutrients and she was interested in using them.

From my understanding, using the nutrients with water is as effective as mixing the weekly feed and using that, is that correct?

Could she simply add 2 tsp per gallon of the nutrients and water her
contaners daily as usual?

Many people do not realize they have the option of mixing the
nutrients with water and using them with their house plants and
outdoor container plants.

Am I correct on this?

You are correct. You can use the Mittleider Weekly Feed as a "Constant Feed Solution" in the greenhouse, in containers, or even in your soil-bed garden.

The amount to use is 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) in 3 gallons, which is the same as 2 teaspoons in one gallon. Or if you are feeding larger areas, use 10 ounces in 30 gallons.

When to stop using weekly feed for everbearing plants

Jim my peppers are starting to flower and I see little peppers
starting to grow. From what I understand I should stop the weekly
feed now is that correct?

I have 10 pepper plants in My Mittleider garden which I used the
weekly feed for and I also have a number of containers with peppers in
them which I used the minerals 2tsp per gallon in water. Both are
doing outstanding.

You DO NOT STOP feeding peppers when they flower!

Peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, squashes, etc. are EVERBEARING plants, which will produce until frost (or a disease) stops them.

You continue feeding these plants until 6-8 weeks before the first expected killing frost.

The reasom many people don't continue to have these crops produce right up until October and November is that they don't feed them. Don't make that mistake!
